Rosacea & Redness
What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common chronic skin condition that often starts with persistent redness and flushing on the cheeks, chin and nose.
As rosacea progresses, patients may notice increasing amounts of redness, more broken capillaries, and bumps/pimples on their skin. This condition may flare up and then recede; according to the National Rosacea Society, some of the most common triggers include sun exposure, stress, heat, alcohol and spicy food.1
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for rosacea, but treatments are available for the visible signs of the condition. Here at Renew Laser Clinic, we offer lasers and IPL treatments to minimize the appearance of redness, broken blood vessels, and acne-like bumps.* During your consultation, Dr. Makow will assess your skin, and determine which procedure will be most effective to treat your symptoms.
Using the proper products in your at-home skin care routine can also help improve symptoms. The staff at Renew Laser Clinic will guide you in selecting the appropriate products for your skin’s condition.
Contact us for a consultation if you experience the following:
- Constant redness or flushing
- Broken blood vessels
- Small red bumps or pimples
What if I don’t have rosacea, but my skin still looks red or flushed?
Lasers and IPL treatments are also effective for treating redness and broken capillaries (telangiectasias) that aren’t associated with rosacea.* Dr. Makow will customize a treatment plan for your specific skin type and condition.
*Individual results may vary, and not guaranteed.
